Miss Metal
A celebration of 100 years of the Bauhaus (2020)
Mat Proc Goes Bauhaus (2019)
Miss Metal is a wearable sculpture design inspired by Marianne Brandt, a notable figure at the Bauhaus Brandt, the only female in her school's metal workshop, ultimately achieved great success. The design aims to portray her story and celebrate her accomplishments. Embodying the concept of 'Form follows function,' each sculpture is meticulously crafted from cardboard materials. This choice not only pays homage to Brandt's metalwork but also adds an innovative and sustainable element to the design. Through the fusion of art and functionality, Miss Metal becomes a powerful symbol of female empowerment and creative resilience.
